Copywriting for digital growth
D
igital marketing has been a constant part of my work for more than a decade. One of its aspects I’ve worked on a lot (even though less than paid media campaigns) it’s digital content production.
Through the course of these years, I have produced content for companies of different sizes, with different goals, and in different channels. From social media content to institutional websites texts and blogs posts. Always trying to switch between the copy style that suited better the specific marketing goal.
My process usually looks like this: begin by understanding the personality of the brand (sometimes even creating it), move to a dive in their audience’s mind, and then start typing things I believe will serve a purpose in the digital strategy of that brand while being relevant to that audience.
That involves digging for content sources, defining the subjects for content that will make sense for that brand, creating a content calendar, and also, just like when I’m copywriting for advertising, I think about the whole content, including the visual aspect. Therefore, most of the time I create the copy and a creative digital briefing for a designer to follow-up (or sometimes, I create the design myself).
