VeMo Brain Data
A tool to help Brain surgery
I was the project manager in the development of VeMo, a medical neurological testing online system. The main challenge was to acquire an understanding of such a complex universe like the language evaluation testing (used before and after brain surgery) and transform it into a simple to use online tool.
My main role was to make sure that the final result would be anchored in the manual testing system that some doctors were familiar with, but improve it in terms of automation and usability.
I worked very closely with some doctors and the developer/designer who was with me in the project. Below you can check some more info from the project and my participation in its development:
- Deep research and studies of neurological tests that used to be done with pen and paper.
- Understanding of how the tests were applied and how the results were calculated.
- User profile identification to create the UX Design and navigation flow for the Website and the System.
- Client interviews to acquire insights.
- Briefing, reviews, follow-ups, and testing for the developer.
- Creative and usability directions and follow-ups for the designer.
The final result is a web system, accessed through the website, which is being used by several doctors.
