Viação Reunidas
Improving a young apprentices program through innovation
Me and Alexandre Andrade (a very talented designer) partnered up with Accelere, a business consulting company, in order to help one of their clients with a specific challenge using innovation tools.
The client was Viação Reunidas, one of the biggest urban public transport companies in one of the biggest states of Brazil, with a fleet of dozens of buses. They participate in a program called “Young Apprentices”, which promotes teenager development in their first professional experience, and they wanted to make this program even more impactful.
We began the consulting, acting close to the young apprentices and some stakeholders from the company, especially from HR, who worked directly within the young ones. Our main focus was to facilitate the emergence of solutions that would improve the apprenticeship journey.
After interviewing some core people, we facilitated some workshops to deepen what has been discovered, the challenge itself, and the integration between everyone who was participating. Then, we facilitated a 2 days immersion with everyone, focusing on ideation and prototyping the best solutions.
The final result was “Growing in Reunidas”, a long-term 5 steps program aiming to improve, make constant and customize the learning process for the young apprentices. The program was very much well accepted and implemented.
